During the 1980’s and up to the year 2000, the duo of Cat Paw and Junior History were household names in Montego Bay, as the two provided top-class entertainment across the resort city.
Cat Paw later migrated to the United States, leaving Junior History, christened Rexford Randall, to carry on with the comedic acts and deejaying that made them popular.
But for the past four years, things have seemed to be heading in the wrong direction for Junior History, a King Street, Montego Bay resident.
The entertainer revealed that poor blood circulation, especially in his legs, has resulted in the steady deterioration of his health.
He told the Jamaica Observer West that he has been in and out of hospital over the past few years due to failing health.
“I am feeling more and more pains all over my body over the years, even though I am taking medication. My health has reached a point now where my feet have started to be infected and I have to be going to the Type Five Clinic to get them dressed very often,” said a distraught Junior History.
The once energetic deejay reportedly collapsed on Sunday as he tried to make his way along a section of Orange Street in Montego Bay.
He is appealing to the public for financial assistance with his medical bills.
“I need help. I can’t afford to buy food and go to the doctor.s I am feeling pain and everyone seems to forget me,” said Junior History, as he urged the entertainment fraternity to put on a fund-raising stage show, the proceeds from which will assist with his bills.
“I am suffering and feeling pain every day. I need help fast,” said a teary-eyed Junior History.
