Busy Signal is the first brand ambassador for Trinidad and Tobago’s Sunshine Snacks. The company announced their partnership during a press conference at R Hotel in New Kingston on Monday.

Sunshine Snacks products are manufactured by Associated Brands Industries Limited. They are distributed in Jamaica by Confectionery Snacks, which has offices in Portmore and Montego Bay.

Nicholas Lok-Jack, CEO and Deputy Chairman of Associated Brands, disclosed the reason for signing Busy Signal.

“Our peanuts have been positioned as power peanuts and have always been a part of the Jamaican culture. We find that Busy has such a versatile style and full of energy. What greater collaboration between Sunshine Power Peanuts and Busy. It was a natural fit,” he said.

“Oh my God, I’m so honored. It’s always a blessing to see all the blessings add up. Whomever knows my journey, know sey, yea, be happy for me. Be happy for us Caribbean because it’s a collective effort,” he said.

Busy Signal was previously aligned with Pepsi and Guinness.

Kristine Thompson, general manager of Sunshine Snacks, outlined the company’s promotional plans.
