Benjah 

Florida-based Christian artiste Benjah tops the Billboard Reggae Albums chart with his third offering. His latest effort, Roots Passion , sold 246 copies to debut at number one.

Roots Passion, released March 1 by Jahmen Music Group, has eight tracks. The song Riot features dancehall artiste Chan Dizzy.

Benjah previously charted on Billboard with Haze & Reflections: Vanity Fare Remixed, which peaked at number three in 2013; and Pain Tings, an EP which stalled at number seven in 2018.

Dub Will Tear Us Apart by Jah Division revisits the top 10, making a big jump from number 49 to eight, and selling 58 copies up from 10 the previous week. It has sales of 337 copies since its release in January.

Another new entry is Journey of Roads by Hawaiian reggae band The Steppas, which is at number 10 with 49 copies. Released March 1 by One Step Music Group LLC, the 11-track set features the song System with reggae band Earthkry.

Last week’s chart-topper Fox Fuse Presents: Get Soca 2019, is number two with 213 copies. The previous week it moved 158 copies.

Rising three places is Free Rein by Rebelution, which has to date sold 20,143 copies, while Sting and Shaggy’s Grammy winner, 44/876, is steady at number four.

Soca Universe 2019 Vol 1 rises from number nine to five with 76 copies. Former number one, Summer to Winter by Kolohe Kai, is number six.

After spending one week at number one, Machel Montano’s G.O.A.T. is number seven. Since its release four weeks ago, the set has sold 758 copies.

Dropping to number nine is Everyday Life, Everyday People by Slightly Stoopid with sales of 15,369 copies.
