Two years ago when she changed her moniker from RR to Rre, the seductive singjay said the move was a re-cast of her image and career. Fans, she added, would hear her doing more eclectic music.
Crazy, her latest song, is part of that fresh perspective. Produced by Trigga Happy Productions, a company based in Berlin, Germany, it has a distinct EDM feel that is popular among Europeans and North America.
“I am excited about this project and so is my new team. Further, I have new singles coming out that will help show my versatility and uniqueness,” she said.
Born Renee Reid in Kingston, Rre had a strong hit in 2016 with Rev Out di RR, a suggestive number she recorded with Devin Di Dakta for producer Christopher Birch.
Two years ago, Rre said it was time for a change in focus.
“It’s a new brand, a new focus. I am unique; I don’t want to be boxed into any one genre of music,” she said at the time.
Recently, Rre signed with Mazion Studios out of Montego Bay. This, she believes, is another career-defining move.
“I am finding new markets and experimenting with my sound and overall style. My new management is keen on ensuring that the music we are putting out is produced, mixed and mastered by the best in the game.”
