Moviegoers have long enjoyed the National Anthem montage played before each film, showing at Palace Amusement Cinemas. Liquid Light Digital, the award-winning Jamaican Film and Animation Production company responsible for the production of the anthem rendition, recently released the 2018 version. Introduced this time around by Agent Sasco, the montage embodies our national motto, ‘Out of Many, One People’ and is sure to invoke a sense of nationalistic pride.

Adrian Lopez, director, explained, “The challenge is always to find new angles on familiar subjects; fortunately, Jamaica is full of beautiful locations and people. We were able to capture shots of famous Jamaicans like Lennox Lewis, Wayne Marshall, Tami Chynn and their families, which was very special.”

The Palace Amusement National Anthem is also used to showcase Jamaica all over the world at sporting, cultural and diaspora events.

The newest presentation of the anthem is sponsored by Sandals, Flow, Stewart’s Automotive Group, Jamaica Broilers Group of Companies, KFC, and CIBC FirstCaribbean.

Jacqueline Stewart Lechler, director of Stewart’s Auto Sales, which has sponsored the production since its inception in 2009, stated, “This production showcases the diverse beauty of our island, its people and our culture. We are a colourful and talented nation.”

Nigel Holness, managing director of CIBC FirstCaribbean, said, “We extend congratulations and appreciation to the Palace Amusement Company Limited for upholding the tradition of playing the anthem at the start of each movie. It is our hope that this will continue to engender a common identity and a sense of loyalty to our beloved Jamaica.”
