Chyna Nicole is elated at her second-place win in the International Artiste category of the AWSL Music Awards held at the Holiday Inn in London last month.

She received a certificate.

“I feel so honored to have been recognized, and to be recognized in another country is even more special to me. As one of my music mentors, Pam Hall, said: ‘Chyna Nicole, a nomination is a win!’ Not only was I nominated, I won second place,” she said. “This award could not have happened without those who have helped toward my growing success. This is such a huge accolade that speaks volumes to artists who have worked tediously over the years putting out great music without a major record deal.”

Chyna Nicole (given name Tania Nicole Sutherland) was nominated for Kiss, produced by the UK-based Lloyd Brown and Lloyd Mullings. The song was mixed and mastered by Gary O Sutherland.

Richie Stephens won first place in the category, which also saw Ambelique and Steele among the nominees.

Chyna Nicole, a singer and producer, is based in New York and has Jamaican parentage.
