Summer is the busiest period in the music business, when artists and producers release what they hope will be the most popular jams. Orlando ‘Shotty Shane’ Chance is one of the producers on the hunt.

The singles he has on the market are Bruk it Off by deejay Razor B and Rider, done by Vershon. The latter is co-produced with Iclips Records which worked in a similar capacity with Shotty Shane on the Wild Life Riddim, his previous production.

He boasts that both songs are “guaranteed to be hits with the females”, adding that: “The Razor B rhythm is a merge of dancehall and Afrobeat while the Vershon (song) is a mixture of dancehall with a tip of Latin.”

Released in late 2018, the Wild Life was Shotty Shane’s first project as a producer. He is known in Jamaican broadcast circles as a popular Disc Jockey at SunCity 104.9 FM.

Enthusiastic response to songs on that beat, including Top Gallis by I Octane and Voicemail’s New Rave, encouraged him to work on a follow-up rhythm for the competitive summer months.

“I was astounded (by reaction to Wild Life) because the album was played in so many different countries. I think I counted 22 including Japan, Sweden, Africa, Peru, France and so many others,” said Shotty Shane. “The Voicemail track was also featured on their 2019 album Skankin Season, so that was more than an accomplishment for my first project.”
