Barrington Levy—
Nerro Levy, son of Barrington Levy, has dismissed rumors that his father suffered a stroke.
Speaking to the Jamaica Observer’s Splash yesterday afternoon, the younger Levy said the singer is in good health.
“I can’t disclose any information as it relates to that because I don’t know of that rumor. I don’t know of anything like that. I just talked to him and he is in good health. As far as I know, nothing like that is true,” he said.
Several efforts by the Observer to speak with the veteran singer were unsuccessful.

Levy is one of reggae’s great singers. He burst out in 1979 by recording a number of hit songs for producer Henry “Junjo” Lawes, including Ah Yah We Deh and Looking my Love.
Those songs gave him a loyal following in the United Kingdom and Europe, where he still tours. His other big hits include 21 Gun Salute and Living Dangerously.
