Recently released, Man A Warrior is produced by Inna Mi Yard Productions.

“I believe this song has the potential to be a huge success, my team and I are putting a lot of promotion behind it. I also plan to shoot a video for Man A Warrior before I leave Jamaica,” Messieh said.

Man A Warrior is projected to be part of a seven-song EP he expects to be released in early 2020.

Messieh, whose given name is Sanjay Thomas, hails from Mount Salem, a troubled community in Montego Bay, Jamaica’s tourist capital. He launched his recording career in 2012 with Revolution Time, a 14-song album.

Being from a tough neighborhood made him socially-aware from early. Messieh is also a social worker affiliating with two organizations — Mek Ah Step Volunteer Creative Arts Program in the UK, and Mandingo Youth Club, located in his hometown of Mount Salem.

“I’ve been working closely with Mek Ah Step and the Mandingo Youth Club for a while now. So far, we’ve been able to make some positive impact on the youths in Mount Salem. I’ve also travelled with Mek A Step to work with the youths in the Gambia in Africa,” he disclosed.
