Stevie Face returns to music with a hit single after five-year break
Reggae singer Stevie Face has returned to the top of the charts after a five-year break from music.
The St. Thomas born artiste is currently enjoying much attention with his recently released single titled My Prayer.
The song was produced by Stevie Face and Kemar ‘Flava’ McGregor and released on the Streaming hub LLC Imprint in August.
“From the moment this song was recorded, we knew it was going to be a hit. I’m pleased about the response that it’s receiving. It’s getting a lot of airplay in Jamaica, the US and the UK,” said Stevie Face.
My Prayer is currently number 9 on the South Florida Top 25 Reggae Chart, and it’s in the number 10 position on the Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Music Chart in New York.
“It feels good to have a hit single again after such a long break, this is just the first one, I have a lot more in store,” he said.
Stevie Face said taking a break from music for such a long time was a tough thing to do, but he had to do it.
“Ask any artiste, and they’ll tell you that stepping away from the music biz is not an easy thing to do. However, I had to put my career on hold so that I could give back something to the people in Yallahs.”
He also added, “Instead of giving handouts, I decided to do something that could provide sustainable employment for people in the area. Over the past five years, I’ve been able to do that by creating two businesses in the town, Advanced Alignment Center and Advanced Service Station.
Stevie Face is scheduled to perform in London at the Electric in Brixton on the 15th of November alongside Bitty McLean, Luciano and Lukie D.Stevie Face is known for songs such Tell It Like It Is, Coming Home, Can’t Go Round It, in the Living Years and I Wanna Wake Up With Ruth.–
