Former Jamaican cricketer Renford Pinnock known to all as “Pinnie” passed away earlier today. He was 82 years old.
Pinnock, who was a right handed batsman and wicketkeeper, distinguished himself during his playing days for Jamaica mainly in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
He played 44 first class matches scoring six centuries with a highest score of 176.
Born in Spanish Town, Pinnock honed his skills mainly at the St Catherine Cricket Club before being selected to play for Jamaica.
He was renowned for his quick wit and always being immaculately dressed on and off the field.
