People’s National Party Vice President Phillip Paulwell—

KINGSTON, Jamaica —

OBSERVER ONLINE can now confirm that the United States has revoked the visa issued to People’s National Party Vice President Phillip Paulwell.

National security minister, Dr Horace Chang had earlier reported that the Americans had revoked the visas of Paulwell, Cabinet member Daryl Vaz and a number of members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Paulwell, who is a member of a PNP delegation now in Cuba, took to the airwaves to declare that he was not aware of this.

But OBSERVER ONLINE sources in the diplomatic community have confirmed that Chang was correct.

The sources say the persons whose visas have been revoked received one paragraph letters from the local embassy saying that since the visas were issued there have been reasons to believe they may not be eligible to be awarded them.
