Konshens and his wife Latoya.—
Dancehall artiste Konshens and his realtor wife, Latoya Wright, have once again called it quits.
The news comes little more than two weeks after the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
In a lengthy post yesterday on his official Instagram page, the She’s Happy deejay said: “You will wake up and grow up when she already gone. All she did was bring me the greatest happiness, only rivalled by mi kids’ births, stick by me no matter what and who going against me. Stop me from kill miself countless times after mi bredda drop out an mi get unstable. And counsel me when the world a come down pan mi … Sorry me f*&k it up.”
This is not the first time that the couple has split publicly; in August of this year, Wright announced on Instagram that she was single, adding that anything Konshens did from that point forward had nothing to do with her.
Konshens, given name Garfield Spence, wed his babymama and girlfriend of six years in Florida at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa on November 19, 2017.
In the post, Konshens also offered relationship advice to other men.
“Step outta yuhself an’ look pan yuh life, look wat really important and don’t mek Jah tek back him blessing.”
In the meantime, the artiste has declared that he is currently not available for other relationships, but will instead be focusing on his music.
“Me a go focus pan mi music an mi career, drop mi song dem an do mi work an go hard. Focus pan mi kids and mi mental health and growth as a man an low out bwoy life,” the post read.
Several entertainers have also praised the deejay for what they term a ‘big man’ move.
“This a huge step in the realm of self-truth and awareness. Rebuild with the knowledge that there are many waiting to help you rebuild and strengthen life in life. All love my brother,” Bunji Garlin responded.
Artiste Ce’Cile posted: “Saying a lot of things some men can’t even admit! I hope everybody look at this as having the strength to admit it and not being weak to anything! A nuff nuff women, including myself, been there for people who wudda never admit the value we brought!”
