After years of knocking at the door, singer Jahwaylife finally had his first song released. Titled Hypocrite, it is produced by Tony Kelly.
Though it was released in January, Hypocrite was drafted five years ago, according to the South Florida-based artist.

“It’s based on personal experience. People that betray yuh full up di universe…dem inna di Church, dem inna  Congress,” said Jahwaylife.
Hypocrite will be part of an EP being produced by Kelly, one of dancehall’s most successful figures. He has worked with the genre’s elite artists and produced monster hit songs like Everyone Falls in Love by Tanto Metro and Devonte and Like Glue by Sean Paul.

Born Damian Nathan, Jahwaylife spent most of his formative years in Spanish Town, Jamaica’s first capital. That area has produced a number of outstanding artists including Papa San, Stitchie and Chronixx.
He remembers growing up listening to “positive artists” like Beres Hammond and Garnet Silk. Though he has been around the music scene for some time, Hypocrite marks his entry on the big stage.
The EP by Jahwaylife is scheduled for release by Summer.
