Cover art for Guilty, the single by Hopeton Lindo and Fiona—

Just over four months after going number one on the South Florida Reggae Chart, singers Hopeton Lindo and Fiona have repeated the feat with Guilty , their cover of Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibbs’ 1980 monster hit.

The reggae version registered its third-straight week atop that table this week. Their previous chart-topper was the Lindo-penned In Your Eyes in December.

“It’s definitely an amazing feeling to have back-to-back number ones. I’m immensely thankful to God Almighty for this opportunity,” said Fiona. “Our chemistry is one of a unique nature, we are family and with that connection we blend without hesitation or doubt.”

Both artistes are long-time South Florida residents. Lindo, who produced Guilty, started his vocal career over 35 years ago but though he had hit songs like Territory, he is best known as a composer of songs like Telephone Love by J C Lodge and Red Rose For Gregory by Gregory Isaacs.

He also acknowledged a strong professional relationship for the successful partnership with Fiona.

“Fiona is one of my favourite singers, she’s an awesome artiste so after we scored a big hit with In Your Eyes for producers Sly and Robbie and Rorey Baker on the Pocket Book rhythm, it was obvious that we found a winning formula,” he said.

Originally from west Kingston, Fiona Robinson-Sterling has been recording since her late teens. Her biggest solo success is her 2015 cover of Adele’s Hello.
