Roots artist Chezidek and Tad’s International Record company have agreed to a publishing deal for the singer’s Hello Africa album, scheduled for release on July 23.
Under this arrangement, Tad’s International Record will have exclusive distribution rights to the set’s 13 songs which are written by Chezidek. They will be published by Tad’s Music.
According to Tad Dawkins, the company’s CEO, “it is a great publishing accomplishment for Tad’s Music. Whereas all the tracks/titles on Chezidek’s Hello Africa album will fall under an exclusive publishing deal between Chezidek and Tad’s Music. This now enables us to promote this project extensively being that the full ownership of the tracks are between Chezidek and Tad’s.” “Because I’m Black” the first single from the album, is currently the No.1 song on The Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Chart.
Dawkins added that the agreement is “definitely a big deal for both parties going forward.”
Hello Africa is Chezidek’s second album for Tad’s International Record which has offices in Kingston, Jamaica and North Miami, Florida. The first, Herbalist, was released in 2009.
