Since his life took a spiritual turn 12 years ago, George Wright has written and recorded songs that reflects his faith. He maintains that trend as Brotha George with Only You Alone which was released in April.
It is from Unstoppable!, the singer’s 10th album, which came out in May.
Only You Alone is produced by Sidney Mills, a keyboardist best known for his work with Grammy-winning British band, Steel Pulse.
“It’s a universal song that is illustrating the Almighty God’s works. It was produced seven years ago but its message is still timely,” said Brotha George.
Only You Alone also features veteran musicians Dwight Pinkney on guitar and Leebert “Gibby” Morrison on bass, and is currently climbing The Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Music Chart.
Brotha George, who accepted Jesus Christ as his savior while living in New Jersey, does not restrct his message to Christianity. A self-described man of God, he began singing gospel songs after 30 years in the secular arena as George Wright.

He is originally from Majesty Gardens, a hardened working-class community in Kingston, the Jamaican capital. He is the younger brother of Winston Watson, a founding member of The Meditations, the roots trio best known for the classic song, Woman is Like A Shadow.
His own career started in 1978 with the song, Secret Admirer, produced by Ossie Hibbert at Channel One studio. During the 1980’s, Brotha George continued to record songs for various producers and perform on sound systems like Soul Imperial.
In 1984, he toured Japan and Europe alongside Frankie Paul and Josey Wales. After becoming a man of God, he cut several inspirational songs such as Give Me Strength and Overcome. His previous album, You Will Rise, was released in 2018.
Brotha George has also performed on major events like Fun In The Son.
