Elephant Man—
Dancehall artiste Elephant Man will have to wait until November again to learn his fate in the court case brought against him by the State.
In March, the singer was charged with violating the Immigration Act after he failed to truthfully declare his travel history to an immigration officer, having returned from a trip to Germany. At the time, Germany was one of the countries that Jamaica had placed a travel restriction on due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The entertainer, who had his most recent court date on September 4, told THE STAR that he must head back there on November 17.
He did not go into any further details but said he hoped that the matter will be settled on that day. In April, members of the Counter-Terrorism & Organised Crime Unit served a court summons on the ‘Energy God’ at his home, where he had been ordered to self-quarantine after he publicly apologised for “unintentionally” making a false declaration to immigration officials at the Sangster International Airport. The artiste could be fined $100 if found guilty.
