The Jamaica Diaspora Health Taskforce is collaborating with the Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ), the Jamaica Nurses Association of Florida (JNAF), and Loma Linda University, to host its second in a series of online Seminars or JAMINARS on September 17, 2020 – 8:30 AM to 4 PM Jamaica time. Chair of the Jamaica Diaspora Health Taskforce Dr. Beverly Gordon wished to thank all the partners involved in delivering this valuable content to Jamaica’s Healthcare professionals especially the co-host for the event, the Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ,) whose mission is to ensure quality nursing care for all and transform the Caribbean in new nursing innovations globally. She remarked; “This collaboration between NAJ and the Jamaica Diaspora Health Taskforce and other stakeholders is a testimony to the impact that’s possible through strong partnerships with Jamaica and the Diaspora.” 



The Jamaica Diaspora Health Taskforce members consist of diverse medical practitioners including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, and healthcare educators that span the breadth of the medical community across the Diaspora. The Taskforce is committed to the vision of a healthy Jamaican society.

• COVID-19 and Pregnancy: What you need to know – Obstetric Emergencies: Hypertensive Disease
• Nursing and Leadership
• Interpersonal Skills for Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals
• The Presentation of an Addict
• Workplace Stress and Self- Care for Nurses
• An Introduction to Transplant Surgical Nursing Care

Leo Gilling Chairman of JDTAN added that “Nurses in Jamaica put their hearts and lives on the line through this and every challenging period. There aren’t enough registered nurses, so we seek to protect the ones we have. This is why the collaboration with NAJ and other stakeholders to deliver this important content is especially needed to help through these tough times and beyond.”
