In a year when the Coronavirus ran amok, cries of racial injustice and systemic racism sparked unrest throughout the United States. Gospel artist Brotha George kept a close watch on the turmoil.
It is the backdrop for Bloody City, his latest song, which is co-produced by Sidney Mills and Leebert “Gibby” Morrison.

“The song looking at what’s going on around the world, not just the US. There’s so much conflict and anguish,” said Brotha George.
One of the most horrendous incidents of 2020 was the death of George Floyd, an African-American who was controversially killed by a white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25.
“That was hard to watch. But even with all the injustice we have faith in God that good will prevail,” said Brotha George.

Bloody City is the latest collaboration between Brotha George, Mills and Morrison. They produced Only You Alone, his hit single which spent multiple weeks at number one on The Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Music Chart (New York).

Mills and Morrison, who are respected veteran musicians, also produced Unstoppable, Brotha George’s 12-song album which was released in May.
Before he was known as Brotha George, he recorded dancehall songs as George Wright for producers including JoJo Hoo Kim at Channel One. Currently based in Connecticut, he has been performing gospel music for nearly 15 years.
