For most of the last 15:years, E-Dee has toed the line between acting and music. He returned to recording during the summer with Needed Me (Alone) which was released in October.
The song, which features Wayne Wonder, is produced by QMillion, whose credits includes music by Paula Abdul and After 7.
Needed Me (Alone), inevitably, has a COVID-19 link. It deals with an unfaithful lover in the time of lockdown.

E-Dee says the dance track is based on experience and  is autobiographical. According to the lanky deejay, “I think a lot of people can definitely relate.”
A music video for the track was released on October 30.
From Clarendon parish in central Jamaica, E-Dee has lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. He studied music and acting at the Musicians Institute there and kicked off his recording career in 2005 with the song, R U Ready.
With two albums to his name and a steady flow of appearances in film and television, he is comfortable as an artist and actor. “For me, it’s a perfect balance because I can get my song placed in more films. At the same time I can get to be on camera,” he said.

Needed Me (Alone) is E-Dee’s second song with Wayne Wonder. Their first, Girl I’ll Come Over, was released in 2012.
His latest acting roles are in the movies Chocolate City 3: Live Tour and Gangland.
