Coming soon from our favorite reggae Mom is Miss Pat – My Reggae Music Journey, a memoir tracing Pat Chin’s remarkable 60-year career in the music business, which will be released in Spring/Summer 2021.The book is a 212-page book with share insights into how the VP Records matriarch juggled commerce and raised a family, give insight into the sexism she faced in the male-dominated music industry, especially in the early days of VP Records which she co-founded in 1979 with her husband Vincent.
We can also expect many never before seen images and remembrances from the co-founder of Randy’s Record Mart and VP Records. The book is available for pre-order by calling the VP Records Retail store at 718-297-5802 and widely available in Spring 2021.
Proceeds from sales of the book will benefit the Vincent & Pat Chin Foundation, a charitable
organization.
