Ricky Di Lova

Growing up around sound systems and foundation artists in Jamaica, singer Ricky Di Lova is used to hearing timeless songs and rhythms. Once the production is good, they have the potential to make the charts long after.
With that in mind, he continues to promote Style Me, his song which was released last June by Lion And Lioness Productionz out of Cleveland, Ohio.
“Is a good song on a good riddim. Nice Studio One beat dat everyone can rock to…dem riddim dey wi grow up pon,” said Ricky Di Lova.
That ‘riddim’ is the Lecturer, which has driven many a hit song for over 50 years. It is the driving force behind Fresh Souls In Reggae, a compilation album produced by Lion And Lioness Productionz.

‘Fresh Souls’ showcases songs by artists from Central Village, a rugged community on the outskirts of Kingston, Jamaica’s capital.
“Is a lot of good artists come from di ghetto in Jamaica but dem jus’ don’t get dat break. So, an album like dis is important,” said Ricky Di Lova.
Based in South Florida, he has been recording since 1993. He was weaned on sound systems in his hometown of Majesty Gardens; his older brother is Trinity, one of the top deejays from the 1970’s.

Ricky Di Lova is also a producer whose productions include the Mongrel Dog and Should Have Known Better rhythms. The latter was released two years ago.
