Tony Roy, reggae singer has one enduring passion – MUSIC. It came as no real surprise that this talented musician, who hails from the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica, chose music as his career path and is still performing today. His confidence in his God given ability and recognition of his musical talent led young Fitzroy Gordon, aka Tony Roy, to quietly and bravely defy his parents and materialized his ultimate passion. He admits that the lack of support from close family and friends made his decision to pursue music more challenging. He continued to work with his music and was called upon to represent his high school band as a percussionist and vocalist. Tasks he performed with true gusto.

Once Tony graduated from high school, he and some of his school band members formed a band called “The Chosen People” with Tony as the lead singer and drummer. They toured Jamaica and recorded several popular songs. They were extremely talented and this led to several international tours to the United States and Canada from 1985-1987. They opened for several artists including Tony’s mentor the late Dennis Brown. Due to other commitments the band split, but Tony Roy used that opportunity to launch his solo career. With that step out in faith, he did several shows and recordings with numerous production companies.

Tony Roy migrated to the United States in 1997 where he met and performed with several local reggae performers at numerous venues. He then decided to branch out and formed his own reggae band, Yawd Lynk. He and his band have performed at various venues on the east coast.
