There’s a little of everything on singjay Bashwa’s debut EP, Table Turn, to keep dancehall fans happy and hopefully introduce him to the mainstream. It was released in early January by Zojak World Wide.

Most of the songs on the mini set are produced by B13 Records, a label he co-owns with creative partner, DJ Andre NYC.
“Songs like Mama Life Soon Change, Table Turn and Dreams Come Through which are produced by B13 Records, speak about my musical journey, positive attributes and accomplishments. To entertain the ladies, I also have other songs such as Tik Tok to keep them on their toes dancing,” said Bashwa.

Released last June, the title song is a biting commentary on runaway crime in Bashwa’s hometown of May Pen, a thriving commercial town in Clarendon parish, central Jamaica.
He said he was inspired to write the song after seven of his friends were killed in crime-related incidents in 2008.

Mama Life Soon Change recalls the financial hardships of his childhood. It is one of the songs that launched Bashwa’s career six years ago.
Tik Tok is produced by Ruralareaproductions.
