Trinity, whose toasting style made him one of the most popular artists in Jamaica during the 1970’s, died in Kingston on April 8, he was 67. His sister Sandra Brammer said he died at the National Chest Hospital where he had been a patient for the last three weeks. She said no cause of death has been given. Born Wade Brammer, Trinity came from the tough Payne Land area of Kingston. He began recording in 1976 and did songs for several producers including Joseph Hoo Kim, Winston Riley and Joe Gibbs.

He had his biggest hits with Gibbs such as Three Piece Suit and Judgement Time. The latter was the toast to singer Ruddy Thomas’ Loving Pauper. The hits stopped coming for Trinity in the 1980’s, but he became a fixture on oldies shows during the 1990’s.He also continued to record for independent labels in Europe where he toured often. Trinity also branched out into producing, his biggest success coming in 2004 with No Guns To Town by Natty King.
