With less than one month before the release of his label’s most ambitious project to date, music producer Garfield Cowan is looking forward to big things.
That album, Ginjah The Reggae Soul Man, is scheduled for release on May 14. The 15-song set is produced by Natures Way Entertainment, Cowan’s South Florida-based company.
“The release of Ginjah’s album is a great accomplishment for Natures Way Entertainment. This is going to be Natures Way’s third solo artist album to date and I know this one definitely raises the bar,” Cowan said.
I’ve Got Life by Alva and Rasta Evolution from King Mas are the previous artist albums produced by Natures Way Entertainment, best known for the popular Sweet Personality ‘riddim’ from 2015. That beat drove Wayne Wonder’s Let me Love You Tonight and Wake Up by Jah Cure up the charts.
Cowan met Ginjah last year through a mutual friend, and they began recording songs shortly after. Pressures of Life, the lead single from the forthcoming album, is on Tree Of Life, a compilation album released by Natures Way Entertainment and Typhoon Music Group in March.
“Working with Ginjah as been a pleasure. He is so easy to work with and his work ethic is very good. He is not a procrastinator, and listens and is open to changes,” said Cowan.
Ginjah The Reggae Soul Man will be released one year after Survival, the singer’s previous album. The Rastafarian artist says fans can expect to hear more growth in his music.
“My mindset is to always do better than any previous projects. In the world of music there is always room for improvement,” stated Ginjah.
