His image and moniker may be different but singer Triple Blaxxx still carries the message of the music that defined his early career.
That message is heard on Let Jah Be Praised, a recently released song produced by Issachar Muzik out of Los Angeles.
Based in Santa Barbara, California, Triple Blaxxx says writing songs of empowerment comes naturally.

“Let Jah Be Praised is one of them songs that comes natural, the rhythm influence the melody and the words came through easy,” he stated.
Triple Blaxxx has lived in the Golden State for “a couple years now”, recording for different producers. While he experiments with diverse sounds, the beat he was raised on still excites him most.
“My music is still reggae/dancehall but a little influence creeps in somewhere along the way, especially since I’m around a lot of rap and pop artists and producers,” he said.

For most of his career, Triple Blaxxx was known as Sugar Black. In the 1990’s, he wore dreadlocks and was part of the duo, Sugar Black and Lebanculah, who were members of Tony Rebel’s Flames camp.
Back then, his labelmates included the high-riding Garnet Silk and Everton Blender as well as Kulcha Knox and Utan Green.
The locks are gone and he now sports a barbered beard, but Triple Blaxxx is still a Rasta at heart.
“Rasta is an inborn concept. Once I’m a Ras, I’ll always be a Rasta,” he said.
