Producer Edgiton Farqhuarson has placed renewed energy in his Majestic Storm ‘riddim’ which he released two years ago. In August, his Brainstorm Production company released Come Closer to Me, a song by Christopher Martin. Wanna Love by Symatic launched the project in 2019, followed by Official Gallis from veteran deejay Delly Ranx.

The Boston-based Farqhuarson wanted a singer to bolster the Majestic Storm and he chose one of contemporary dancehall’s most popular artists.
“This is the first time that I was working with him on a project, but I have met him a few times, he is easy to talk to,” said Farqhuarson, adding that Martin handled the track like a true pro.
“The way he seamlessly just flowed his hooks was on point.”

Farquharson is originally from rural St. Catherine parish in Jamaica, but has lived in the United States for many years. He learned the production ropes at the feet of Robert “Bobby Digital” Dixon, one of the kingpins of modern dancehall music. He has been in the music business for over 20 years and considers Bag Juice, a 1996 song by Little Kevin, to be his most successful production to date.

The Majestic Storm is a family affair. The beat was constructed by Farquharson’s son, Jaylin, also known as Jay Beats and mixed by Mario Lawrence.
