Andy Gibb was the poster boy for star-struck teenaged girls in the late 1970’s. He had songs like I Just Want to be Your Everything to thank for that global fame.
Written by his older brothers, The Bee Gees, it is one of the songs that caught the attention of budding singer Joanna Marie as a pre-teen. She recently put a reggae flavor to the ballad which was a worldwide hit in 1977 for Gibb who died in 1988 at age 30.

Joanna Marie co-produced the single with Ed Robinson for RGQUAD.
“Andy Gibb is one of my favorite artists. It was Ed Robinson and Joanna Marie’s idea to cover the song. We wanted to create a reggae-pop track to infuse both genres,” she explained.
Being a fan of the brothers Gibb made putting her spin on Andy’s smash even easier.
Originally from Kingston, Joanna Marie has been recording for many years. Her previous songs include Single Girl and a cover of Gregory Isaacs’ Hush Darling.
Simply Irresistible, her only album, was released in 1999.
