One of Spanish Town’s native, International Reggae Luminary and Grammy Nominee, Chronixx, in responding to an Instagram post made by the Reverend Dr. Cleve Laing aka Lt. Stitchie, another native of the same City, on Sunday, declared this, “You made one of the best gospel albums I ever heard and we listen everybody from Barns family to Tye Tribet, ‘Angels Protect Us’,” as he paid homage to the Iconic Dancehall Governor. The Reggae Superstar credited in superlative manner Lt. Stitchie’s debut gospel album “Real Power” as one of the most outstanding gospel albums he has ever come across in his life.
This was the first of seven gospel albums to date, to be released by the G.C. Foster College of Physical Education & Sport graduate. Since “Real Power” was released in 2000, the excellence of this epic and classic album, has earned the former Teacher of Physical Education and Biology, several accolades from the date of its release to 2003, the awards are as follow:

2000 – Canadian Caribbean Gospel Award
Top Gospel Album (Real Power)
Belize Government (Hon. Dorel Carter, Deputy Mayor) Key to the City of Belize
2001 – Jamaica Federation of Musicians
Best Gospel Vocalist (Male)
2002 – Caribbean Gospel Music (Marlin) Awards

2003 – French International Caribbean Gospel Awards

“Real Power” was instrumental in setting the foundation for the success of the many others Albums that were, that is and are still yet to come”, according the Governor, namely; Kingdom Ambassador, Real Life Story, Serious Message, To God Be The Glory and Stitchie Live In Germany were all giant albums that only added to the already mammoth catalog of this lyrical genius.

However, this never slowed down the living legend’s (who many now referred to as the Dancehall’s Greatest of all time) pace of achievement and growth, as he is currently in the studio working on album number 24. On September 4, 2021 in London, at the prestigious Caribbean Afro and Music Awards (CAMA) he won the Best Reggae Album of the Year 2021, with his 23rd Reggae album, “Masterclass”. Other nominees in that category were Julian Marley, Anthony B, Busy Signal, Spragga Benz, Jidenna and Analea Brown. The album of 17 tracks featured Agent Sasco, Ricky Stereo, Million Stylz, Lukie D and Fantan Mojah. Lt. Stitchie also won the CAMAward for Best Gospel Act of the Year.

He saluted Chronixx on his instagram post with the uttermost admiration and respect, for the compliment and honor that he received from the Reggae Icon, as he waits patiently to receive yet another Honor and Award, except this time a National Honor Award from the government and nation of Jamaica. The Order of Distinction in the Rank of Officer (OD) is set to be officially conferred on Lt. Stitchie October 18, 2021.
