D’Angel—
D’Angel has made it clear that anyone attending her upcoming ‘Exposed’ tour must be at least 18 years old as it will be “x-rated and raw.”
“This tour is for grown people, adults,” D’Angel told THE STAR. “It’s going to be in an adult space, a club, and children aren’t allowed to come in clubs, so 18 years and older will be able to see my concert. Notwithstanding, if I get a call to do a children or family-friendly show I’m going to deliver because my catalogue speaks volumes. Everything is gonna be done in context and will be event appropriate.”
The tour name mirrors that of her upcoming EP, which is slated for release by early next year. The title track was released in 2020 after semi-nude images from her OnlyFans subscription-based service were leaked on the Internet.
“For the entire 2020 into 2021 all dem do a expose mi, so I just decide seh all right then, the lion a sleep and unno wake her up,so I’m ready for unno,” she said. “I will be surprising people. When I’m on stage, I’m fearless. I own the stage. I transform into something different. Sometimes I feed off the audience, but you just never know what you’re going to get. I’m in rehearsals; I’m at the gym. Everything is strategic. I’m going to use a lot of props, and it’s going to be a full entertainment package.”
The tour kick-starts with its US leg on October 22 in Houston. Other cities include New York, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
“I went to the US for a quick promotion in the summer, and it showed me the demand for my music there, so the dates have been coming in, and I’m going to take full advantage of it,” she said. “I had a Europe tour pending, but because of the pandemic, it was postponed. Everywhere is opening likkle by likkle, so I know my pending Europe tour will come, among other things, but everybody is calling – Canada, UK, the Caribbean.”
