Reggae Global Entertainment, the imprint that is owned and operated by power couple Joanna Marie and Ed Robinson, has started the year by releasing good music and getting the appropriate acknowledgement for doing so. In January, Joanna published My Best Boy (Close To You), a remake of John Holt‘s classic: Be Close To You (My Best Girl). Her version is now enjoying steady radio rotation and is featured on various reggae platforms worldwide. Its success is due in part to the fact that she is the first woman to provide a female’s take on this massive hit. In addition to the aforementioned, My Best Boy (Close To You) has now entered New York’s Reggae Chart, which is curated by popular radio host Clinton Lindsay. We reached out to Joanna Marie for her feedback on the news and she said the following. “Words can’t express how excited I am to enter The Foundation Radio Network New York Chart! I do believe this is my first time on this chart. South Florida chart is quite often but this is a great feeling entering this one for the first time! Nuff respect to all my supporters and all of the supporters of The Reggae Global Ent. Family! Special respect to Ed Robinson for producing this track!” |
