 On Sunday February 27th, 2022 at 7:30pm EST, the Reggae fraternity and fans will join Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Honorable Babsy Grange for an all-star concert finale to Reggae Month 2022.

Reggae On The Pier, a livestream concert event produced by VP Records in collaboration with the ministry, stars Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Derrick Morgan, Richie Spice, Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo, and Tarrus Riley. The event kicks-off with a special DJ session with legendary producer and sound system champion King Jammy, streaming live from his studios in Waterhouse. When asked about the concert, and working with caliber artists, the event’s musical director, world-renowned saxophonist and producer Dean Fraser said “music is my job and I make sure it is presented at its highest level.  All artists are excellent performers and it is my pleasure to work alongside them to make our music the great music that it is.” 

All performers will be backed by Fraser’s Black Soil Band3 Ways to Watch and 1 Way to Listen to Reggae On The Pier! Fans can view the event Sunday, February 27th on the VP Records YouTube channel beginning at 7:30pm.  In Jamaica, invited guests will gather at the Pegasus Hotel (main Ballroom) to watch Reggae On The Pier.  Hosted by comedian Dutty Berry, the concert will be streamed on screens in the hotels lounge with added updates from Dutty. Jamaicans in the Southern USA Diaspora can join Consul General Oliver Mair from 7 – 10 p.m.

The Consul says “we will close out with another exciting event as we dance and sing with our icons.”   The Consul General will be joined by co-host, Jamaican actor, comedian, and social media personality better known as “Julie Mango.” Listen to Reggae On The River on Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Radio, Channel 19 on SiriusXM beginning at 8pm EST with an encore airing on February 28th.
