After the success of his collaboration with dancehall recording artiste Masicka, country-reggae artiste Wesrok is set to release another collaboration with Laa Lee. This has come as a surprise to several fans who didn’t expect this unlikely fusion. The ‘Poor Country Boy’ singer has been focused on fusing country with reggae and dancehall music in his most recent projects.
Promotional clips from ‘Is There a Party’ featuring Laa Lee has been receiving mixed reviews. “The fusion of genres has always been a touchy topic. Some people like it while others are skeptical about it, but it my love for the music that causes me to experiment with it” said Wesrok, “Music is beautiful and there should be no limitations to creativity”. ‘Is There A Party’ was produced by 360 Global Entertainment, and will be released on April 29, 2022 along with a music video.
The video for ‘Is There A Party’ was shot and directed by Bloozick Films in Olympic Way, Kingston. Wesrok shared, “The video was very community-oriented and featured a party vibe in the streets. I wanted to capture the elements of dancehall while staying true to who I am as an artiste. Ariff of Bloozick was able to capture this the best way possible. Fans can expect a good vibe with a unique delivery”.
Wesrok, is still on the promotional trail after the release of ‘Try To Hold Me’ featuring Masicka which racked up over 68k views and counting on YouTube. He is looking forward to this new leg of promotion eyeing a wider market for his music.
