They may come from different cultures but singers Wingy Danejah and Biancallove share common ground when it comes to music. On Hands Up, they call for a mass surrender to God.
Hands Up, produced by Wingy Danejah for his Danejah Records, is projected for release on June 3.
“The Bible says ‘every knee shall bow and every tongue confess’. What this song is saying is, ‘no matter what you do, you have to surrender’,” said Wingy Danejah.
Based in Palm Bay, Florida, the Jamaican artist has been in the music business since the early 1990’s. He initially did gospel songs with an hip hop flavor for EMI Records and gospel label, Awake Records.
After linking with Biancallove in early 2022, he and the Puerto Rican artist clicked instantly and agreed to record an inspirational song to Afrobeats.
Although it has not been released, the duo performed the track during a recent five-day school tour of Ocala, Florida.
Biancallove is also a Palm Bay resident. She launched her music career four years ago and has done songs like Baila! specifically for the Latin market.
Her Christian faith drives her music.
“God plays a huge role in my life. I received the calling to do music at the age of 15 and have seen Him work in my life. I wouldn’t be the person I am today or even make music if it wasn’t for my relationship with Jesus,” said Biancallove. “I am a Christian recording artist, so I make sure my music inspires the souls of the lost and bring hope to peoples lives.”
