Da’Ville—
Singer Da’Ville was very hands-on in the making of the video for his latest single Happy.
“Well, as you know, I’ve been doing this for a long time, but even though that’s the case I wanted to approach this video creation just like how I approach my music. I love being involved in the creative process, it’s important to me to do so especially now that I am committed to my faith. I wanted to present the message and the visual that fits without compromising my spiritual beliefs, and so I took a hands-on approach, and even though I was very involved, the entire crew deserved credit for all their hard work and creative input in helping to bring this project to fruition,” Da’Ville told the Jamaica Observer.
He recently released the video for Happy, a song that’s earmarked for his forthcoming album Breathe. The video was shot on location in the Lauderhill area in Florida under the direction of Stephan “Q” Bookal and Dave “Shaky” Arjune (M1 Digital Productions).
“We did three days of shooting and we ended up doing two videos including one for my next single that will be coming out in July. I personally enjoyed the acting and the creative vibe that also showcased my acting skills to the fans and supporters. It’s been a minute since I did any acting of that magnitude, so it was really exciting to do that,” said Da’Ville.
Since its release in early June, the video has racked up more than 50,000 views on YouTube.
“The feedback has been outstanding; the views and comments are really encouraging. It’s been a minute since I did a song of this magnitude and had visuals that brought the same energy. People have been commenting and asking for more, and I’m just so thankful that they’ve been so welcoming to me and what I’ve been able to bring to the musical table especially with this endeavor. All the love and support has been very overwhelming and I am genuinely grateful. All glory and honor can only be given to our Lord God Almighty. His ways are so much better,” said Da’Ville.
Happy is a co-produced by Orville “Da’Ville” Thomas, Sketch Carey and Anwar, for Da’Ville’s Global Merchant Music Group indie label.
