Jamaican musical motivator Jermaine Edwards is making a big step forward to spread the word in wider spaces with his latest release “Hope In My Head”.
The single which features the formidable Dancehall Deejay Agent Sasco, carries an upbeat message of hope and potential, a message he conveyed in the visuals for the single which is now available on Youtube and has racked up over 100,000 views since its release on June 17th.
The track made an impressive run last weekend on Spotify racking up over 10,000 streams and peaking at #16 on the Hypeddit Streaming Top 100 and #6 on the Reggae/Dub Chart.
Often described as a Reggae Gospel Artiste, Jermaine pays homage to Jamaica’s strong musical heritage but is not constrained by it. Energetic or soothing, his style is influenced by various musical genres.
His ear for harmony was apparent from an early age, and before the tender age of ten, Jermaine was playing the keyboard at Sunday services and crusades where his father preached.
His first album in 2004, ISLAND WORSHIP: A Jamaican Experience, was well received by local audiences, and by 2010 he was a staple voice in the Gospel circuit and a household name in the Caribbean.
Over the last decade his work in the message has been continually spread through his music, which has touched the ears and hearts across all walks of life, and in the process earned the emerging talent a wide cross-section of fans from across the world.
