Tevin “Lumba” Taylor
Popular music video director Tevin “Lumba” Taylor of Blacq Road Media Films died suddenly on Sunday morning of a suspected heart attack.
“Lumba ah one of my favorite cousins, and to know say him just gone so, it hard to deal with me, this is kinda shocking,” dancehall artiste Miguel Wealthy, a cousin of the deceased, told Jamaica Observer.
According to reports, Lumba fell sick after eating a meal of jerk chicken. He experienced severe diarrhea and vomiting soon afterwards and was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital. The doctors made a referral for him to be transferred to the University Hospital of the West Indies in St Andrew where he reportedly went into cardiac arrest.
Lumba would have been 29 years old next month. He is known for shooting videos for singles such as Nation Boss’s Solidarity and Dream; Pain for Silk Boss; Love Shoot for Skillibeng; Feel Secure by Kash; and Garrison Above for Chronic Law. Lumba also shot videos for Bubble, Caution, and Freaky Gal for dancehall artiste Miguel Wealthy.
