SKIP MARLEY CANCELS TORONTO SHOW AFTER BORDER AGENTS DENY HIM ENTRY INTO CANADA!

Is the Toronto curse continuing?

Another highly anticipated concert has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, but this has a little bit more to it than a major blackout.

Beloved reggae and dancehall musician Skip Marley has been forced to cancel and postpone his show in Toronto, scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Toybox.

And the reason for it?

It appears Canadian border agents denied his entry into the country and presented with him documents to return back to the United States

“TORONTO: The show tomorrow is unfortunately postponed because I was not permitted entry at the border into Canada. I wish this wasn’t the case – I did everything I was told I needed to do to meet the entry requirements but it seems today they needed more,” reads Marley’s message to his fans.

He also posted a video at the video, apologizing and promising to reschedule at TOYBOX.

“I know many of you were looking forward to this just as much as I was and I apologize that we have to wait a bit longer. We are working on rescheduling and I’m looking forward to coming back.

“

Alongside his message, Marley shared a photo of the documents presented to him from the agents, which state he must return to the U.S. after he attempted to cross the border at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie.

The “Direction to return to the United States,” document appears to have checked the box “you are prohibited from entering Canada by an order or regulation made by the Governor in Council under the Emergencies Act or Quarantine Act.”

It then shows that Marley will be allowed back at which time “you are no longer prohibited from entering Canada by an order or regulation made by the Governor in Council under the Emergencies Act or the Quarantine Act and an officer will be able to examine your application to enter Canada.”
