Ginjah has a new song on the market and naturally he’s expecting big things from it. Titled Fall In Love, it is produced by Tad’s International Record.
After 25 years in the music business, the singer/songwriter eyes the charts as hungrily as when he started his career.
“Well, hit songs are what makes an artist go places, it’s a pleasure to get a hit song. I think it’s more satisfying, especially for an artist like me that they close the doors on… so I have to always come 10 times better than what’s out there or you wouldn’t hear about me, much less having a hit,” said Ginjah.
Fall In Love is the second release for 2022 from Ginjah, considered by some music pundits as one of contemporary reggae’s best-kept secrets. These Arms, also produced by the Tad’s International Record camp, came out in June.
Known for hits like Guilty Conscience and Sweet Killer, Ginjah says he never writes with a hit song in mind.
“I can feel a vibe but you can’t really tell (that the song will hit), because rubbish has become the new normal, so it’s hard to tell if the song gonna hit or not. I am hoping Fall In Love will fall on the right ears.”
These Arms and Fall In Love are expected to make the cut for Ginjah’s upcoming album, scheduled for release either this year or in early 2023.
