When J C Lodge arrives in South Florida for the March 18th  Reggae Meets Soul concert, she will have considerable momentum. Her song, Love Uprising, has been number one in the region since late February.

Reggae Meets Soul takes place at the Coral Springs Center For The Performing Arts. Kashief Lindo, Yishka,  Michael Russell,  Eric “Monty” Morris and Russell Thompkins Jr. And The New Stylistics, are also scheduled to perform.
Love Uprising is produced by My MM Productions. It is one of the tracks from their Positive Transfusion compilation album,  released in 2022.
“I am certainly looking forward to returning to Florida to please people with my nostalgic songs as well as adding a few of my more recent releases, such as Love Uprising which is currently rising up in both the Florida and NY Reggae charts,” she said.

Lodge was part of the Reggae Meets Soul lineup that was billed for March, 2020. That gig was canceled due to the emergence of Covid-19.
Since then, the London-born singer has appeared on the Pluto And Friends show which took place in May, 2022 at Gulfstream Racetrack in Hallandale.
Lodge disclosed that she is working on follow-ups to Love Uprising. One of them is a duet with Beres Hammond called More of You. Based in London, Lodge spent some of her formative years in Jamaica, where her father is from. Her breakthrough song, Someone Loves You Honey, was a big seller in Jamaica and Europe in 1980.

She had other hits with a cover of Leo Sayer’s Love You More Than I Can Say, Make It Up With You and Telephone Love.
