Popcaan

We Caa Done, the collaborative hit single by Popcaan featuring Drake, continues to make inroads on the international music charts.

On the latest urban chart in Germany, the song steps up from three to number two, a position it held when it debuted 8 weeks ago.

It recently peaked at number 37 in the UK and on the US Billboard Rhythmic Top 40 chart, while rising to number 36 in Canada, and 60 in Ireland. The song also stalled at four and five, respectively, in the Netherlands and New Zealand.

We Caa Done is the lead single from Popcaan’s most recent album Great Is He, which entered and peaked at number three on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart in February.

And, speaking of the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers clock 166 non-consecutive weeks at number one with Legend.

Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy is steady at number two, while Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul, is at three.

Greatest Hits by UB40, which contains the hit cover of Kingston Town (originally recorded by Lord Creator) and which was certified platinum in the UK last Friday for sales exceeding 600,000 units, is at number four.

California reggae band Stick Figure has the next three positions — five, six and seven — with Wisdom, World on Fire and Set in Stone, respectively.

Live at Red Rocks by Rebelution re-enters the chart at number eight, while Great is He by Popcaan dips to nine.

Outside by Burna Boy is firm at 10.

On regional charts, In the Streets by teen sensation and JUNO Award winner Kairo McLean spends another week at number one on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae Chart.

Over on the New York Reggae Chart, Young Gyal Business, a hit for Chaka Demus in the 1990s, has taken over the number one spot, but with a new twist. The remix features Pliers and Renner.

Just Say Yes by Terry Linen bolts from 12 to eight, while Desperate Lover by Tarrus Riley steps up from 13 to 10.

Going Home (number 28) by Mikey Spice, and Strike a Pose (number 29) by Shuga are this week’s new entries.

Love Uprising by veteran singer J C Lodge is still number one on the South Florida Reggae Chart.

Gospel artiste Jermaine Edwards’ Beautiful Day, featuring Rushawn, slips from 86 to 99 on the UK Singles Chart. The song is also on the downward trek on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, sliding from 22 to 26 in its fifth week.
