The Red Cotton Riddim album is the latest effort from Orlando-based record label Open Doors Records. It contains 11 songs and was released April 21.

Like his previous compilation albums, Jason “Jahson” Bromfield called on familiar faces such as Norris Man, Jah Niceness and Isha Blender to help boost the project.

Norris Man’s song on the Red Cotton beat is Love is Golden, while Jah Niceness does Thumbs Up and Isha Blender contributes Dream of Me.

Revolution (DJ Spiceman), I Can’t Take it no More (Don Roye) and Red Flag by Fear are some of the other singles on the album.

Open Doors Records will celebrate its first anniversary at its present location (722 North Hastings St. in Orlando) with a live show on June 17. It will feature a number of artists including Duane Stephenson, Everton Blender, Isha Blender and Jah Niceness.

Lola & Jason Bromfield

Bromfield, who launched Open Doors Records three years ago, is satisfied with progress of the venture he operates with his spouse.

“I have been working a lot harder than ever before. I also appreciate that I can spend time on a project, having all the tools that I need in the studio,” he said. “My wife Lola and I own Open Doors Records, and Open Doors Beauty Salon, so this event allows us to celebrate our accomplishments from the previous year with music industry friends, family and clients.”

The Open Doors Riddim album launched the company in 2020. Since then it has released songs by Norris Man, Isha Blender and Markeno as well as Nuh Diss Nuh Man, an album by Jah Niceness.

Prior to migrating to the United States, Bromfield was a studio engineer in Jamaica for producers Richard Bell of Startrail Records and Donovan Germain of Penthouse Records. He worked in a similar capacity for Junior Reid and Jack Scorpio.
