Mutabaruka, along with Linton Kwesi Johnson, established dub poetry as a force in reggae music in the late 1970’s. More than 40 years later, after several critically acclaimed albums, worldwide touring, a long-running popular, often controversial radio show on Irie FM, and regular posting of provocative video commentaries on YouTube, Muta steps forward with “Black Attack,” a hard-hitting new single produced by Mad Professor. It is the first single from Mutabaruka’s forthcoming album of the same name, to be released on October 6, 2023 by Shanachie Entertainment. This will mark his first new album in 14 years!
