Hezron—

After his track Bring Your Love peaked at #4 on the US iTunes Reggae Chart in mid-September, Nigerian Afrobeat-dancehall artiste Malam Spicey said he expects further success.

The track, which was originally released on September 1, features reggae/dancehall singer Hezron.

“I know that this song has a global appeal and expect it to go even further,” Malam Spicey, whose real name is Michael Tari Davies, told the Jamaica Observer.

The track was produced by Rayconex.

He said the connection with Hezron came about through artiste management and music production company Star ReggaeBeat.

According to the singer, the collaborative experience went smoothly.

“Working with Hezron was an amazing experience as I admire his work and this is my first international collaboration,” he said.

The singer was born in Ajegunle Lagos, Nigeria. He started music at 12 years old when he began performing at local and street shows.

His early influences were Terror Fabulous, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Don Carlos, Capleton, and Sizzla.

Malam Spicey was launched professionally into the Nigerian Music Scene in 2004, with his former crew TRYBUNALZ. They did one album together and other popular songs, which gained recognition globally.

The Nigerian act hopes to visit Jamaica soon. Currently, he is working on the completion of another album.
