Jamaica’s love affair with The Beatles is everlasting. From Jackie Mittoo’s cover of ‘Norweigan Wood’ for Studio One to the evergreen ‘Blackbird Singing’ by Rosalyn Sweat and The Paragons, ‘You Won’t See Me’ by The Clarendonians to Marcia Griffiths’ sublime ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, the island’s musicians have been reimagining Lennon and McCartney’s songs since the 60s and the melodies of those songs are deeply embedded.

Flash forward to 2023, esteemed producer Clive Hunt has assembled an elite team of musicians and vocalists from around the world to breathe new life and Reggae vibes into The Beatles’ songbook. The result is ‘Rub-A-Dub Soul,’ a twelve-track LP / fourteen-track CD featuring standout performances from legends such as Barry Biggs and The Pioneers plus contemporary artists such as Tarrus Riley and Gentleman.
