Over the years the name Mikey Sparkle has become synonymous with top-class entertainment events in the state of Georgia.
The Jamaican-born promoter and serial entrepreneur, who received an Outstanding Citizen Award from the state last year, is one of the top promoters of Jamaican culture and music in the US.
Some of the events that he promotes annually through his Mikey Sparkle Productions company are the Merritone Family Fun Day and Tribute to Merritone, the Mikey Sparkle Christmas Party, and the Mikey Sparkle Family Fun Day. He has also produced and staged several popular Jamaican roots plays featuring Oliver Samuels.
“I love to provide good entertainment for people whether it’s through my radio show on G97.9FM or the events I promote. I just love to see people enjoying themselves and having fun. That’s my main motivation for putting on events,” he said.
The hard-working promoter is currently gearing up for the 12th staging of his annual Mikey Sparkle Christmas Party.
The event, which is billed as an all-inclusive dinner and dance affair, will feature performances from reggae stars Mikey Spice and Anthony Malvo backed by the 3rd Degree Band.
“I credit the success of this party to the awesome entertainment package that we put together each year for our patrons. In addition to the food and refreshments, and the decor along with everything else are always top notch. Once again, we’ve put together an exciting entertainment package for our patrons which includes two of Jamaica’s finest reggae singers, Mikey Spice and Anthony Malvo,” said Sparkle.
The Mikey Sparkle Christmas Party is scheduled to take place on the December 18 at the Grand Palais Banquet Hall in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Recorded music will be provided by DJ Cold Rice, DJ Carlton and Oxtail from Road International Sound.
Mikey Sparkle is the co-owner of the Georgia-based radio station Daflavaradio.com. His latest venture is the Sparkle D’s Restaurant and Lounge which is located at Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
