Reggae singer Willie Bob is pleased with the response to his single Black Woman.
Produced by the artiste, the song was released on the Home James label late last year.
Since then it has enjoyed steady rotation on several radio stations both locally and overseas.
“I am more than happy with the support that my song is receiving. I am grateful to all the DJs who are playing it in Jamaica, the UK, Africa, the US, and Europe. I appreciate their support,” said the artiste.
“I believe it is of vital importance to highlight the role the black woman plays in the development of the black family; she is the mother of creation. It is also important for the black man to know himself and his role as the protector and provider of his family. Together the black woman and the black man are a powerful force. I want to send this message right across the world; therefore, I intend to [keep] push[ing] this song,” he said.
Willie Bob also revealed that he’s currently working on new music that he plans to release next year.
“I have several new songs in the works right now some of them will be released as singles in the coming year. I am also contemplating about releasing an EP or an album very soon.”
Willie Bob, given name Willberth Moore, hails from the Parish of St. Andrew. He launched his recording career in the early 1990s with the release of a song titled Halfway To Paradise on the Sunny Fuddgy imprint.
