Krueshef’s youth in St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI) inspired You Born For Greatness, his latest song, scheduled for release on May 31 by KMGM Records.
Based in Oklahoma, he recalls the challenges he faced in his homeland and the vow he made to achieve success as an adult. Krueshef wants that message of resilience to resonate with anyone who hears the song.
“What inspired me to write ‘Greatness’ is fond memories as a child playing, running on the beach barefoot, bathing in the rain, going to the waterfall and just having fun and thinking, ‘you know, we were born into the best environment’ and that drove us to work harder, and appreciate what we have and realizing greatness was already surrounding me as a child and every ghetto youth man or woman,” he related.
Previously known as Splittt Personality, Krueshef recorded one album (Introspective) under that moniker. He also represented the United States as a super-middleweight boxer at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.
You Born For Greatness is the follow-up to RE-Vibes, a dance track released in December. His latest effort made him long for home.
“This song is different because it actually describes my life, growing up, what I have done, been through, and still didn’t quit. It’s a true story about who I am,” he said.
